Junior Cornelius Duncan recorded a regional qualifying time in the 400 meters with a time of 46.27, finishing first.
Tanika Liburd ran a time of 12.01 in the 100-meter dash, while Karla Thurmond ran a time of 24.92 in the 200 meters. Four Golden Eagles ran a sub-minute 400 meters, with Kirsten Richards recording a time of 57.85, Carmen Dennis ran 59.34, Terria Wheeler ran 59.28 and Jamaka Wall ran 59.79.
Ashley Reyer finished fourth in the women's heptathlon with 4,981 points.
Rascive Grant ran a time of 10.61 in the 100-meter dash. Duncan also posted a time of 21.76 in the 200 meters. Cordell Kinn finished seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 47.99. Marvin Pinnock ran a time of 1:54.41 in the 800 meters, finishing eighth.
Vincent Tanui finished second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:18.72.
Ricardo Page recorded a distance of 49'2.25" in the shot and 140'10" in the discus.
Leonard McLeggon finished third in the decathlon with 6,147 points.
The relay races highlighted Sunday's action. The women's 4x100-meter relay team ran a time of 46.43, while the 4x200-meter relay team posted a time of 1:38.85. The 4x400 relay team ran 3:51.37, while the 1,600-meter sprint medley team ran 4:06.70. The distance medley relay team ran 12:40.36.
The men's 4x100-meter relay team recorded a time of 44.35, while the 4x200-meter relay team ran 1:30.41. The 4x400-meter relay team posted a time of 3:11.97 and the 1,600-meter sprint medley team ran a time of 3:23.30.
The Southern Miss teams return to action Mar. 31 at the MSU Invitational in Starkville, Miss.
