Marvin Pinnock turned in the top time in the 800 meters

The Southern Miss men's and women's indoor track and field teams combined for six event titles at the Blue Raider Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Saturday.
Tanika Liburd won the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.12 and the long jump with a jump of 19'3.50". Raquel Washington won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.99, but posted a better time in the preliminaries with a time of 7.95. Aaliyah Shareef finished first in the triple jump with a mark of 40'3".
Erica Alston posted a time of 7.30 in the 5-meter dash and Tori Wells ran a time of 7.31. Angela Johnson recorded a time of 25.55, finishing fifth in the 200 meters, while Wells ran a 25.60 and Alston ran 25.82. Jocelyn Young finished eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.73. Brittany Wood finished third in the one-mile run with a time of 5:09.68. Naomi Kiprotich finished fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:22.50, followed by Cheris Fletcher and Alisha Edwards finishing seventh and eighth with times of 2:26.22 and 2:27.15, respectively. Ronna Sandoval finished sixth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:58.64.
The 4x400 yard relay team finished fifth with a time of 3:55.44.
Ashley Reyer took fourth in the high jump with a height of 5'4". Alston finished third in the long jump with a jump of 17'9.50".
Ahmed Abdelzaher finished third in the high jump with a height of 6'4". Ken Watson was second in the long jump with a jump of 47'3", while Ron Robert was third with a jump of 46'11". Brown also finished fourth in the shot with a throw of 44'3".
Southern Miss returns to action, competing at the LSU Bayou Bengal Invitational Jan. 27.
