Men's Tennis Stay Perfect In Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Southern Miss men’s tennis team (13-4) finished its week a perfect 3-0 after Friday’s 4-0 win against George Mason (5-5).

The Golden Eagles went 3-3 in doubles action at Hilton Head after Daniel Merker/Jorman Reyes and Wen-Po Tseng/Chao-Yu Huang won their matches on courts 1 and 2. Seniors Tseng and Huang extend their win streak on court 2 to six matches with a 6-2 win against James Lange and Jakob Nielsen.

Teeradon Totrakul showed a strong performance on court 3 after losing his first set 6-1. Tortrakul breezed past Pally Ray in the second set 6-0 but was forced to a tiebreaker in the third but won 10-5.

Tseng collected his second win of the day with his 6-3, 6-1 win on court 1 against Nielsen. Reyes also recorded his second win of the day and his 15th of the season with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Daniel Gutierrez.

The Golden Eagles continue their road swing when they travel to Lafayette, La., April first to play Louisiana-Lafayette and Prairie View A&M.
