Men's Tennis Improve to 3-0 At Home

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's tennis improve to 3-0 at home after a 6-1 win against Alabama State on Saturday.

The undermanned Hornets played with only four players in Saturday's match. The doubles matches were limited to two matches with Southern Miss winning by default on Court 3. Freshman Tom Cecchetto and Mieszko Kwasniewski won the only doubles match of the day with a 6-2 win on court 2.

Courts 5 and 6 were left open and resulted in two more points for the Golden Eagles. Chung Han Tsai improved to 1-1 on the season with an easy straight set 6-2, 6-3 win against Luckmann.

Cecchetto and Kwasniewski each earned their second wins of the day in singles play. Both singles wins were the first singles wins as a Golden Eagle for the pair.

Ronit Bisht lost his second match of the season on court 1 and falls to 1-2 on the season.

The Golden Eagles host Troy on Sunday, Feb. 111 at 11 a.m. for its next match.
