HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's golf coach Jerry Weeks announced the release of the Golden Eagles' 2012-13 schedule on Monday.
The Golden Eagles will begin their fall season when they host the 10th annual Sam H. Hall Intercollegiate at Hattiesburg Country Club. The field will play 36 holes on Monday, September 10, and the final 18 on Tuesday, September 11. Southern Miss is looking to win the team championship for just the second time and the first since 2004.
"The fall schedule is a very good schedule," said Weeks. "We'll be playing some awfully good golf courses against some very good teams. We kick back off in the spring with a really nice schedule, beginning in South Alabama against some very good teams from the Northern United States. We have a great schedule and I'm looking forward to this season."
Southern Miss will then make its first appearance in the Shoal Creek Invitational, hosted by 2010 U.S. Open Champion Graeme McDowell. The Shoal Creek Invitational will take place at Shoal Creek Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., on September 24-25.

The spring season begins with a stop at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove Country Club in Mobile, Ala., on Feb. 18-19. The Golden Eagles will be making their sixth consecutive appearance at the tournament.
Southern Miss then makes back-to-back trips to the state of Louisiana, first at the Louisiana Classics at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette on Mar. 4-5, followed by its second trip of the year to Squire Creek Country Club in Ruston, La., for the Argent Financial Classic on Mar. 11-12.
The Golden Eagles then travel to Cordova, Tenn., for the Memphis Intercollegiate at Colonial Country Club. It is the ninth appearance in the tournament that takes place on March 25-26.
USM returns to Mississippi to close out the regular season with two tournaments, beginning with the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate (Apr. 2-4), followed by the Old Waverly Collegiate on April 8-9.
