Former Men's Golfer Freddie Janneck Advances to U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier

Janneck to play in Memphis on June 4th.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss golfer Freddie Janneck advanced to the sectional qualifying round of the U.S. Open.

Janneck moves on to the sectional at Germantown Country Club in Memphis, Tenn., on June 4.

Janneck shot a two under-par 70 at Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas.

Golden Eagle signee Michael Perez also shot a two-under-par 70 at the Country Club of Naples in Naples, Fla.

The 2012 U.S. Open will take place June 14-17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif.

Janneck played for the Golden Eagles from 2006-11. He played in 21 tournaments, averaging 75.1 strokes per round.
