Men's Golf Adds One for 2013-14

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's golf coach Jerry Weeks announced the signing of Kevin Jorden (Juno Beach, Fla.) to a national letter-of-intent for the 2013-14 season, Friday afternoon.

Jorden is a transfer from South Florida. He will have three years of eligibility.

In March, Jorden finished fourth at the Florida Azalea Amateur, finishing eight-under par after round of 72, 69 and 67. He also won on the Tour's event at Bear Lakes Country Club in October.

Jorden was one of the top players in the state of Florida in high school. He was the No. 1 player on a Cardinal Newman team that won the 2010 Class A State Championship, and earned a third-place individual finish at the State Championships in 2009.

He was named to the Palm Beach Post All-County First Team in 2007, 08 and 09, and earned Sun Sentinel All-County First Team Honors in 2008 and 09. Jorden also won on the Florida Junior Tour during the 2010 year.
