HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team heads to Tennessee to take part in the Memphis Intercollegiate, hosted by Memphis and played at the par-72, 7,249-yard Colonial Country Club South Course.
Of the 16 teams in the tournament, six are ranked in Golfweek.com's current top 100, including No. 26 Texas Tech, No. 38 Vanderbilt, No. 39 Ball State, No. 51 South Alabama, No. 63 Memphis and No. 84 Louisville.
Joining Southern Miss is Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Cincinnati, Cleveland State, DePaul, Louisiana-Lafayette, Middle Tennessee State, UMKC and Western Kentucky.
This is the ninth straight year that Southern Miss will participate in the tournament. Last year, the Golden Eagles earned a ninth-place finish.
Golfers will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 and Tuesday. Both days will begin at 8 a.m. CT.
Southern Miss is led by junior Kevin Brady with a stroke average of 73.71 in 21 rounds. Junior Zach Estep is averaging 74.19 strokes and sophomore Casey Fernandez is adding 74.81 per round.
