Men's Golf Travels to Florida for FAU Slomin Autism Championship
The team will play 18 holes each day over the three-day event.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's golf continues its spring season in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., March 24-26, at the Florida Atlantic Slomin Autism Championship.
The event begins Friday morning on the par 72, 6,447-yard Squire Course at PGA National. The teams will play 18 holes each day during the event.
The Golden Eagles lineup for the event includes senior Ryan Argotsinger (Lee's Summit, Mo.), junior Matt Codd (Red Deer, Alberta), sophomores Derick Kelting (Amarillo, Texas) and Willie Hammond (Southlake, Texas), and freshman Matt Lorenz (Gulf Shores, Ala.).
Joining the Golden Eagles in the tournament will be DePaul, host Florida Atlantic, FGCU, Georgetown, Hartford, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Murray State, NIU, Stetson, UCF and UConn.
Ole Miss won the event in 2016 with an 11-under, three-round total. Three players earned co-medalists in 2016 after each posted an eight-under score.
The teams will begin play with a shotgun start at 8:30 am on Friday. Southern Miss will be playing alongside UCF, Jacksonville State, and UConn.
