Southern Miss Travels to Alabama for Tiger Invitational
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's golf team travels to Alabama for the third time this season for the Auburn hosted Tiger Invitational, played at the RTJ Grand National Lake Course.
Located in Opelika, Ala. the Par 72, 7,149 yard course will play host to Auburn, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Georgia State, James Madison, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Samford, South Alabama, Troy, UNCG, UNCW and the Golden Eagles March 4-6.
Matt Lorenz, an Alabama native, will be the first on the tee box for Southern Miss, kicking things off from Hole 10 at 7:40 a.m. tomorrow morning. Derick Kelting, Brian Richards, Matt Codd and Nathan Corchis will then tee off every 10 minutes until 8:20 a.m.
Corchis walked away with a 12th overall finish at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate the last time the Golden Eagles were in the Yellowhammer state. It was the fourth career top-15 finish for the Florida product and his highest finish this season.
