Men's Golf Opens Spring Season at Mobile Bay Intercollegiate
Play begins with 36 holes on Monday.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss opens its 213 spring season when it travels to Mobile, Ala., for the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, Monday-Tuesday at the par-72, 7,212-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.
Of the 16 teams in the tournament, 11 are ranked in Golfweek.com's current top 100, including No. 12 LSU, No. 20 Illinois, No. 22 Auburn, No. 24 Vanderbilt, No. 28 Wake Forest, No. 35 Kentucky, No. 45 Mississippi State, No. 56 South Alabama, No. 71 Louisiana Tech, No. 72 Memphis and No. 89 Akron.
Joining Southern Miss are Arkansas State, Illinois State, Louisiana-Lafayette and Middle Tennessee State
Southern Miss had three top ten finishes in four tournaments in the fall. Kevin Brady led the Golden Eagles with a stroke average of 72.75. Casey Fernandez averaged 74.00 strokes per round and Zach Estep averaged 74.17
The tournament begins Monday at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
