Men's Golf Finishes in 11th-Place at Lone Star Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team finished in 11th-place at the Lone Star Invitational, played at the par-72, 6,931-yard Hill Country Golf Club.

The Golden Eagles shot a final round 309 to finish 43-over par, two shots back of Sacramento State and Rice.

Junior Kevin Brady tied for 26th-place at seven-over par after posting a 75. Junior Zach Estep and sophomore Casey Fernandez tied for 40th-place at 12-over par. Estep shot a 77 while Fernandez carded a 78.

Freshmen Tyler Peggs and Jared Smith tied for 62nd-place at 19-over par after carding an 81 and 79, respectively.

Houston won the team tournament at two-over par, four shots ahead of second-place North Texas.

North Texas' Rodolfo Cazaubon won the individual competition at four-under par.

The men's golf team will take a break from play during the winter before returning in the spring at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, Feb. 18-19.
