Men's Golf in Ninth-Place Heading into Round of Lone Star Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team is in ninth-place heading into the final round of the Lone Star Invitational, being played at the par-72, 6,931-yard Hill Country Golf Club.

The Golden Eagles shot a second round 300 to sit 22-over par, one shot back of Arizona.

Junior Kevin Brady is tied for 21st-place at four-over par after posting a second round 74. Sophomore Casey Fernandez carded a 78 to sit six-over par, tied for 34th-place.

Junior Zach Estep is seven-over par and tied for 40th-place after shooting a 73. Freshman Tyler Peggs is tied for 51st-place at 10-over par after carding an 80 and freshman Jared Smith shot a 75 to tie for 62nd-place at 12-over par.

North Texas leads the team tournament at three-over par, three shots ahead of second-place Denver.

North Texas' Rodolfo Cazaubon leads the individual competition at six-under par. Central Arkansas' Pep Angles is in second-place at two-under par.
