Men's Golf in Seventh-Place after One Round of C-USA Championship

Edmond, Okla. – The Southern Miss men’s golf team is in seventh-place after one round of the Conference USA Championship. The tournament is being played at the par-70, 6,861 Oak Tree Golf Club.

The Golden Eagles are 18-over par after shooting a 298, two shots behind North Texas.

Senior Trent Hillis is tied for 14th-place at three-over par after carding a 73. Junior Drew Kirby is tied for 24th-place at four-over par after posting a 74.

Junior Casey Fernandez shot a five-over 75 to sit in a 28th-place tie. Sophomore Kevin Jorden is tied for 33rd-place at six-over par after shooting a 76 and senior Kevin Brady is in 69th-place after shooting a 16-over 86.

Tulsa leads the tournament at eight-over par, two shots ahead of second-place UAB. Tulsa’s Logan McCracken is three-under par, leading the individual tournament, one shot in front of second-place Victor Lange of Louisiana Tech.
