Texarkana, Ark. - Redshirt senior Nick Brown shot a final round 72 to finish one-over par at the 2012 Conference USA Men's Golf Championships in a tie for 10th-place. The C-USA Championships were played at the par 72, 6,935-yard Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark.
It was Brown's best finish of the year and the third top ten finish of his career. It is also Brown's eighth round of par or better this year and the 19th of his career.
The Golden Eagles shot a final round eight-over par 295 to finish 30-over in ninth-place.
Sophomore Zach Estep posted a 76 to finish seven-over par in a tie for 27th-place. Sophomore Kevin Brady tied for 34th-place at nine-over par after carding a 72. It was Brady's eighth round of par or better this year and the 14th of his career.
Senior Derek Plucienski posted a 75 to tie for 42nd-place at 14-over, while freshman Casey Fernandez carded a 78 to tie for 47th-place.
UCF's Greg Eason won medalist honors by finishing eighth-under par. Memphis' Jack Belote and SMU's Max Buckley took home second-place at seven-under par.
Memphis won its first C-USA championship, closing the tournament at five-under par. UCF finished three-under in second-place and East Carolina (+5) took third.
