Southern Miss Takes Ninth-Place at Conference USA Men's Golf Championships

Texarkana, Ark. - The Southern Miss men's golf team shot a final round 295 to finish 27-over par in ninth-place at the Conference USA Championship, played at the par 72, 6,935-yard Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark.

It is the second straight year that Southern Miss finished in ninth-place.

Junior Kevin Brady shot a 71 to finish four-over par and tied for 18th-place. The 71 is his 12th round of par or better this year and his finish gives him six top 20 finishes on the year and 10 for his career.

Freshmen Tyler Peggs and Michael Perez tied for 35th-place and 40th-place, respectively. Peggs shot a 75 to finish nine-over par while Perez carded a 77 to finish 10-over.

Junior Jared Smith tied for 44th-place at 11-over par after posting a 72 It was his second round of par or better this year. .Junior Zach Estep closed the scoring for the Golden Eagles with an 83 to sit 15-over par, tied for 51st-place.

Houston won the championship at seven-under par, three shots in front of second-place SMU.

Roman Robledo of Houston won the individual tournament at eight-under par, two shots in front of SMU's Bryson Dechambeau.
