West Point, Miss. - Southern Miss shot a final round 300 to finish 25-over par to tie for sixth-place at the Old Waverly Collegiate, hosted by Mississippi State and played at the par 72, 7,088-yard Old Waverly Golf Club.
The Golden Eagles tied with Cincinnati. Mississippi State won the tournament in a playoff, besting UAB.
Junior Zach Estep carded a 75 to tie for 10th-place at one-over par. It was Estep's fourth top 10 finish of the year and the sixth of his career.
Junior Kevin Brady shot a final round 76 to tie for 20th-place at six-over par. It is his fifth top 20 finish of the season and the ninth of his career.
Junior Jared Smith tied for 27th-place at eight-over par after posting a final round 74. The 27th-place finish as well as his 54-hole score of 224, are both career-bests.
Freshman Tyler Peggs shot a 75 to tie for 34th-place at 10-over par. His 54-hole score of 226 was a season-best. Sophomore Casey Fernandez posted a 76 to finish 18-over par, tied for 66th-place.
Cincinnati's Emerson Newsome earned medalist honors at six-under par.
Southern Miss returns to the links April 22-24 when it travels to Texarkana, Ark., for the Conference USA Championships, played at Texarkana Country Club.
