Southern Miss in Fourth-Place Heading into Final Round of Old Waverly Collegiate

West Point, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team is in fourth-place after two rounds of the Old Waverly Collegiate, hosted by Mississippi State and played at the par 72, 7,088-yard Old Waverly Golf Club.
The Golden Eagles opened with a 296 and followed with a 293 to sit 13-over par.
Junior Zach Estep is tied for fourth-place at two-under par. He opened with a 69 before following with a 73. The 69 is his seventh round of par or better this year and the 21st of his career. Junior Kevin Brady is two-over par, tied for 16th-place. He opened with a 76 before firing a 70, his 10th round of par or better this year and the 24th of his career.
Junior Jared Smith is tied for 33rd-place at six-over par after posting rounds of 74 and 76. His 36-hole score of 150 is also a season-best. Freshman Tyler Peggs is tied for 38th-place and sophomore Casey Fernandez is tied for 64th. Peggs carded rounds of 77 and 74 to sit seven-over par while Fernandez is 14-over par after rounds of 80 and 78.
Mississippi State leads the tournament at one-under par, one shot ahead of UAB.
Cincinnati's Emerson Newsome leads the individual tournament at six-under par, two shots ahead of second-place Thomas Sutton and Wilson McDonald of UAB.
