Estep Ties for Eighth-Place at Memphis Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Junior Zach Estep shot a final round 74 to finish nine-over par, tied for eighth-place at the Memphis Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 7,334-yard Colonial Country Club and hosted by Memphis.
It is his third top ten finish of the year and the fifth of his career.
As a team, Southern Miss took 11th-place, finishing 67-over par, four shots behind 10th-place Texas Tech.
Freshman Michael Perez tied for 42nd-place at 218-over par after shooting a final round 75. Junior Jared Smith finished 24-over par, tied for 66th-place. Junior Kevin Brady and sophomore Casey Fernandez carded a 72 and 84, respectively, to tie for 70th-place. Brady's 72 was his eighth round of par or better this year and the 22nd of his career.
Austin Peay won the team competition at 33-over par, two shots in front of second-place Louisiana-Lafayette. APSU's Dustin Korte won medalist honors at two-over par, three shots in front of Jordan Janico of Vanderbilt.
The Golden Eagles return to the links next week when it travels to Madison, Miss., to participate in the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate, April 2-3.
