Men's Golf Finishes in 14th-Place at Linger Longer Invitational

Greensboro, Ga. - The Southern Miss men's golf team finished in 14th-place at the Linger Longer Invitational. The tournament was co-hosted by Kennesaw State and Mercer and was played at the par-72, 7,073 Great Waters Golf Course.

The Golden Eagles shot a final round 316 to finish 61-over par.

Senior Zach Estep tied for 40th-place at eight-over par after carding a 77. Junior Drew Kirby and sophomore Kevin Jorden tied for 70th-place at 17-over par, Jorden shot a 77 while Kirby posted an 82.

Senior Kevin Brady finished 21-over par in a 77th-place tie after closing with an 82. Junior Casey Fernandez finished in 82nd-place, 33-over par after shooting an 80.

Georgia won the team competition at 27-under par, 10 shots ahead of second-place Alabama. Georgia's Michael Cromie won medalist honors after defeating Alabama's Robby Shelton in a playoff.

The Golden Eagles return to the links next week when they travel to Franklin, Tenn., for the Mason Rudolph Championship, April 4-6.
