Greensboro, Ga. - The Southern Miss men's golf team is in 14th-place heading into the final round of the Linger Longer Invitational. The tournament is co-hosted by Kennesaw State and Mercer and is being played at the par-72, 7,073 Great Waters Golf Course.
The Golden Eagles are 33-over par after shooting 300-309.
Senior Zach Estep is tied for 44th-place at two-over par. He opened with a 75 before firing a 72. It is his fifth round of par or better this year and the 27th of his career. Junior Drew Kirby is tied for 61st-place at seven-over par after carding rounds of 77 and 74.
Senior Kevin Brady is 11-over par in 75th-place. He opened with a 72 before finishing the day with an 83. The 72 was his second round of par or better this year and is the 28th of his career. Sophomore Kevin Jorden is 12-over par in a 76th-place tie. He opened with a 76 before finishing the day with an 80. Junior Casey Fernandez is in 84th-place, 25-over par after shooting rounds of 81 and 88.
Alabama and Georgia are tied for the tournament lead at 20-under par, nine shots ahead of third-place Mercer. Alabama's Robby Shelton is nine-under par, leading the individual tournament, one shot in front of Georgia's Joey Garber.
