The 2006-07 season was capped off with a third place finish at the Conference USA Championship held at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Arkansas.
In his second season, the Golden Eagles rode the momentum gained by their previous season's success to tally seven top six finishes, with four runner-ups. They concluded the season with another runner-up finish at the Conference USA Championships, their highest finish ever in the C-USA Championships. In addition, the Golden Eagles narrowly missed receiving their first-ever bid to the NCAA Regional Championship.
Coach Weeks and the Golden Eagles had great expectations for the 2008-09 season. However, due to a couple of key injuries, the Golden Eagles did not fulfill their goals. That season produced only four top six finishes.
Last year, Southern Miss started off slow, but picked things up late in the fall season, eventually finishing with five top six finishes. They closed the year with another runner-up finish at the Conference USA Championships. Weeks also coached his first NCAA Qualifier, as senior Paul Apyan participated in the NCAA Southwest Regionals.
Prior to coming to Southern Miss, Weeks was the Director of Golf Operations at Hattiesburg Country Club for twenty-five years. HCC has a rich and storied history.
