JOIN THE ATTACK

University of Southern Mississippi football coach Larry Fedora has announced the launch of a new group under the school’s athletic foundation umbrella called The Attack.

The Attack is in place to help raise needed funds to assist in the operation of the football program to help it remain competitive on the highest level.

Contributions for The Attack start at $250 per year and are capped at $500 per year. For as little as $21 a month, fans now have an additional way to support the football program beyond their Eagle Club donation.

"We want this program to be a nice addition to the Eagle Club and assist in keeping our football program at the highest level," Fedora said of the creation of the new foundation. "Some may think $21 a month is an insignificant amount, but if we can get every fan of the program committed to this amount, we can raise millions."

Fedora also challenged fans that join to find five more members to make Southern Miss football the best it can be.

The first-year coach has already found five strong supporters of the program from around the state. Those individuals include Scott Middleton in the Delta, Rick Trusty in the Jackson area, Ben Willoughby in Hattiesburg area and both Billy Walker and Walter Greene on the gulf coast.

Those interested in joining The Attack can go to SouthernMiss.com and then the football front page looking for the button that says "Join The Attack."
