Southern Miss Football Players Thanking Fans in Community for Purchasing Independence Bowl Tickets
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – It has not been just football practice for the Southern Miss football team since the fall semester ended as they prepare for the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl that is slated for later this month.
Golden Eagle players have been out in the community thanking fans for purchasing tickets to the school’s 25th bowl game in its history. Senior offensive lineman Deven Farrior and freshman punter Zac Everett helped give out purchased tickets at the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office on Tuesday, while senior defensive lineman Rod Crayton, junior wide receiver Korey Robertson and junior kicker Parker Shaunfield were there on Thursday.
Four other players, senior offensive lineman Jerry Harris, junior quarterback Kwadra Griggs, freshman linebacker Racheem Boothe and freshman defensive lineman Jacques Turner each thanked guests for their support as well as interacted and took photos with diners at the Mugshots Grill and Bar location in Hattiesburg.
In fact, Griggs surprised one young fan by presenting him a ticket to Independence Bowl that his parents bought and surprised for him during dinner.
