HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A free trolley service returns, as well as post-game traffic flow patterns and ticket office hours announced, to help with the game day experience for Golden Eagle fans, this Saturday when Southern Miss plays host to East Carolina at 2:30 p.m.

For the third-straight year, the City of Hattiesburg, in conjunction with the Lake Terrace Convention Center, will be offering a free shuttle service for fans for Southern Miss football games this fall.

Golden Eagle fans can park for free at the Lake Terrace Convention Center and then use the trolley service to get to the game. The shuttle service will begin two hours prior to that week's starting time and runs 30 minutes after kickoff for fans wishing to get to the game.

The shuttle will run again for an hour after the conclusion of the game. Fans who fail to make the trolley during that time will have to find their own way back to the Convention Center.

The trolley service route runs from the Lake Terrace Convention Center to the disembarkation point at the corner of 4th Street and Frontage Road for the game which will be used for both drop off and pickup.

During the game, the trolley will be stationed in front of Osceola McCarty Hall for emergency or urgent use for individuals who are parked at the Convention Center. For fans coming on to campus this Saturday, the Pat Ferlise Center, which includes the Ticket and Eagle Club offices, will be open from 8 a.m., until 11 a.m. Ticket operations will then move over to the southwest athletic ticket booth (in front of Gate 3) at 11:30 a.m. and remain open until halftime.

Following the contest, please note these traffic patterns that will be established for those individuals driving when leaving the stadium on Saturday:

  • Immediately after the game ends, the Eagle Walk will be closed beneath the stadium to all vehicular traffic. This will last for about one hour.
  • All traffic exiting the Payne Center parking lot via the east exit will be required to turn right onto Golden Eagle Avenue southbound, in order not to conflict with traffic exiting the parking garage.
  • All traffic exiting the parking garage will be required to turn right onto Golden Eagle Avenue northbound, towards West 4th Street, in order not to conflict with traffic exiting the Payne Center lot.
  • All traffic exiting Golden Eagle Avenue and the Physical Plant lot onto West 4th Street will be required to turn eastbound on West 4th Street.
  • All traffic exiting Pete Taylor Park and M. K. Turk Circle onto West 4th Street will be required to turn westbound on West 4th Street.
  • Traffic that is already on West 4th Street, either eastbound or westbound, will be allowed to continue in that direction.
With the current construction of Scianna Hall, adjacent to the East side of the stadium, Eagle Club Parking lots have been altered this year. Please click HERE to see a map and verify your lot.
