FTTT Proclamation

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg City Council announced the approval of an amendment that proclaims Sept. 15 as "Fill To The Top" Day in the city on Tuesday at City Hall in front of Golden Eagle fans, Athletic Director Jeff Hammond, and residents of the Hub City.

The Council, led by Kim Bradley, adopted the amendment as recognition from the city to encourage fans and residents to fill the stands at Roberts Stadium on Sept. 15 as Southern Miss opens its home and conference schedule against East Division rival East Carolina.

"We are greatly appreciative and humbled by this proclamation and show of support by the Hattiesburg City Council and Mayor Johnny DuPree," said Hammond. "The city of Hattiesburg, the city council, and the mayor are great supporters, not only of Southern Miss Athletics, but also of our great University. We are expecting a great crowd, a great game, and hoping everyone will have a great time at "The Rock" on Sept. 15 as we take on ECU."

Southern Miss announced last week that more than 7,500 tickets had already been sold in conjunction with the FTTT ticket campaign, targeted to area business and led by community leaders and athletic department officials. To date, fewer than 5,000 tickets remain available for purchase and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early.

Season tickets are still available for purchase, and first-time season ticket buyers, from now until Friday, Sept. 14, will receive a free Brett Favre bobble head doll. This promotion is also extended to first-time buyers who purchased tickets earlier in the year.

Season and single game tickets be purchased either online at SouthernMissTickets.com, by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Center from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
