Head Coach Todd Monken
On favorite thing about day-to-day grind at camp...
"It's the ups and downs of it. It's very similar to relationships; not every day is like your honeymoon. Some days are better than others. Some days you fight through it. You fight through your body not feeling like it did yesterday or the day before that. The best teams find a way to keep that energy level at a high and practice that way. Our guys have done a great job. It's the best I've ever been around. We just have to keep fighting. It takes mental toughest to hydrate, eat and go to bed, especially when you go yesterday morning, last night and then again this morning. You've got three practices in basically 38-39 hours. You find out really you can push through it and who had the mental toughness to keep going."
On the defensive backs...
"We aren't very deep there but we've got talented guys. Cornell (Armstrong) has had a good camp Kalan (Reed) has been healthy and that the most important thing. (Trae) Collins has come around Jomez Applewhite those guys are a good group. Curtis Mikell is moving up over there so we have a good group. We just don't have a lot with moving Picasso (Nelson Jr.) to safety."
Linebacker Elijah Parker
How far have you come since last year?
"It's been a huge leap from last year. I'm bigger, faster and stronger Coach (Zac) Woodfin's got me right with my flexibility and recovery process."
Offensive Lineman Jerry Harris
On working at right guard...
"I feel a lot of confidence in myself. I'm just taking in what coach is giving me and trying to move forward. I'm just making sure I know my plays. That's my biggest factory right now. Technique wise coach has been working with us from practice to practice. So I have been working on my confidence technique wise and knowing my plays."
