HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics will play host to its second annual Football Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Lunch, Saturday, Aug. 23, at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium.
The gates will open at 11 a.m., and the event will run until 1 p.m., and take place in the South End Zone. Fans are asked to enter through Gate 5.
Free hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as soft drinks, will be provided for the first 500 season ticket holders. The fun-filled afternoon will also include inflatable jumps from noon to 1 p.m., music, and a chance to watch the final portion of the Golden Eagles practice that day. In addition, the first 250 season tickets holders in attendance will receive a free "It's Great to Be a Golden Eagle" yard sign and 2014 schedule posters and pocket schedules will be available.
Seymour the mascot and members of the Southern Miss cheerleading will be on site taking pictures with fans as well as face painting for the kids throughout the afternoon.
Around the noon hour, season ticket holders will be able to sample new concessions items from Aramark as well as see their new catering menu options in the Giannini Touchdown Terrace.
Director of Athletics Bill McGillis and Golden Eagle football coach Todd Monken will also address the crowd.
