HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Athletics Department announced Monday the #SoaringToStarkville campaign which allows Southern Miss students the opportunity to attend the Golden Eagles' football season opener, Aug. 30, against Mississippi State in Starkville.
The athletic department has set aside 500 tickets that will only be available to current Southern Miss students. The cost of each ticket is $55 and can be purchased in person at the Pat Ferlise Center on campus (2907 W. 4th St.) weekdays from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m., on the phone by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or online at www.SouthernMissTickets.com.
The tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and all students are encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
In addition the Southern Miss Student Eagle Club and the Student Government Association (SGA) have partnered together to provide bus transportation to Starkville free of charge to the first 200 Golden Eagle students that wish to attend the game. Food and soft drinks will be provided on the buses and will depart and return the day of the game.
All students riding the charter buses must purchase a ticket to the game. If you are interested in riding one of the charter busses please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, Southern Miss Athletics announces that less than 250 tickets remain to the general public for the Mississippi State game, those tickets can be purchased online, over the phone, and in person.
