2018 Football Promotional Schedule – Sept 8 vs. ULM

May 29, 2018

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Each week this summer, Southern Miss will release the game day promotions for each game as well as share changes to game day for the 2018 season.  To see the promotions for Jackson State, fans can click here.

On Sept. 9, the Golden Eagles play host to the Warhawks of ULM.  The game marks the second consecutive home game for Southern Miss to open the year.  It will also be the All-South Marching Band Day, hosted by The Pride of Mississippi.   Band students from around the region will have the opportunity to spend the day with the Pride of the Mississippi, sit in the stands with the band and perform with them during half-time.  The annual event features students and full marching bands from around Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama.  Students or bands interested in attending can contact University Bands at bands@usm.edu or 601.266.4990.

The ULM game will also mark a new addition to the annual Fellowship Day game.  Places of worship can receive discounted admission to the game for their congregations, but 2018 marks a new addition with a pre-game choral competition.  The event will take place before the game as a number of choirs will perform songs in a celebration of community and faith.  “The choir always brings so much energy and passion to a service and we felt that it would be a great event to bring the community together, promote fellowship and showcase their talents,” said Stephen Pugh, Sr. Assoc. AD for External Operations.  The pre-game choral event will be free and open to the public.

Southern Miss will recognize important members of the community as well.  Employees of hospitals, medical offices, and other medical related industries can receive discounted tickets for Medical Appreciation Day.  Chamber Day recognizes the important role that businesses play in the community.  Members of the Area Development Partnership as well as other chambers throughout South Mississippi can receive discounted tickets to the game.  Southern Miss will also participate in the national Extra Yard for Teachers campaign.  This campaign recognizes area teachers and a number of Teacher of the Year winners in the Pine Belt will be recognized on the field during the game.

Last season, the University of Southern Mississippi announced new safety measures, including a clear bag policy and an updated golf cart policy.   Fans can also continue to take advantage of the Season ticket holder referral program.  For each successful referral, the original season ticket holder will receive their choice of a $20 future credit on their ticket account up to $200 or a $20 voucher for concessions in M.M. Roberts Stadium up to $100.  On the tenth successful referral the fan will receive a personalized Southern Miss football jersey.  On the 15th successful referral, the fan will receive an all-inclusive trip to a road game.  To participate, fans should contact the Ticket Office at 1-800-844-TICK or fill out the form by clicking this link.

Season Tickets start at $110 per seat and are the best deal on tickets.  Season Ticket holders receive access to exclusive events, discounts on additional single game tickets, priority access to post season tickets, the same seat for every game and prizes and giveaways throughout the year.
