Under The Lights: Southern Miss Football Debuts Sunday Night on SportSouth
The television program gives fans an inside look at Golden Eagle football.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The television program, Under the Lights: Southern Miss Football, debuts this Sunday, May 27, at 6 p.m., CT on SportSouth.
SportSouth can be seen on various cable outlets throughout the Southeast region as well as on satellite television providers DirecTv (Channel 649) and Dish Network (Channel 437).
The show takes Golden Eagles fans into the heart of spring practice, allowing them to witness conversations between new coach Ellis Johnson and his team in the huddle, the fervor on the sidelines and closed-door speeches in team meetings.
Wireless microphones worn by defensive coordinator Tommy West and offensive coordinator Rickey Bustle during team practices provide unique insight into their energy and enthusiasm for the game of football and the preparation involved in getting the team ready for their spring scrimmage.
The SportSouth Originals camera and sound crew follows junior linebacker Alan Howze on campus, showing the day-to-day experiences of a student athlete, and rides with junior quarterback Chris Campbell to the Black and Gold Spring Game to get behind-the-scenes access to his pre-game routine.
With exclusive insight from Johnson and Interim Athletics Director Jeff Hammond, Under the Lights: Southern Miss Football tells the story of how the football coaching staff, which boasts collectively more than 200 years of coaching experience, was assembled after the Southern Miss Golden Eagles concluded their 18th-consecutive winning season as the Conference USA Champions.
The show also will be rebroadcast on SportSouth later that night at 9 p.m., CT, May 28 at 4:30 p.m., CT, May 31 at 8 p.m, CT, and June 2, at 5 p.m. CT.
