HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss football coach Jay Hopson announced Wednesday, Feb. 1, the addition of 25 players for the 2017 season on National Signing Day.

The following is a listing and biographical sketches of these individuals:

* Had 61 tackles (27 solo) on defense as a junior with 71 carries for 531 yards and four touchdowns at fullback

Delmond Landry

* Earned all-metro and Class 1A All-State honors in football and basketball as a junior for Ascension Catholic High School
* Finished with 73 tackles, 21 sacks and 17 tackles for loss
* Voted District 8-1A MVP after leading the Bulldogs to the playoffs in football
* Averaged 23.7 points, 17.5 rebounds and 3.8 blocked shots in basketball, also helping ACHS to the playoffs
* Garnered three stars by Rivals and two stars by Scout

Santrell Latham

Darius Maberry

* Totaled 54 touchdowns in his career, with 17 coming on the ground in each of his junior and senior years
* His Clinton HS team defeated Pearl for the 6A State Championship last fall

* Played his freshman season at Jones Junior College this fall in which he caught 16 passes for 217 yards and a TD
* Ranked second on the team. His longest catch of the year was for 53 yards
* Prepped at Long Beach High School and was one of the top receivers
* tallied 62 catches for 1,234 yards and 12 touchdowns earning Region 4-5A honors as well as all-state accolades
