HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's basketball team travels to Fargo, N.D., this Monday, Nov. 18, to face North Dakota State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

Southern Miss enters tonight's game with a 2-0 record. The Golden Eagles defeated DePaul, 75-68, last Wednesday in the opener of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.

This is the first-ever meeting between Southern Miss and North Dakota State. It is also the first-ever trip to the state of North Dakota for the Golden Eagles.

Senior forward Daveon Boardingham leads the Black and Gold with 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds. Junior forward Aaron Brown is averaging 12.5 points and is hitting 61.5-percent from the floor. Senior forward Michael Craig is averaging 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds and Chip Armelin is averaging 10.0 points and 6.0 boards.

Head coach Donnie Tyndall enters his second season at the helm of the Southern Miss men's basketball program. He has compiled a 29-10 (.744) record at Southern Miss and is 143-95 (.601) record in eight years as a head coach.

North Dakota State comes into tonight's game with a 1-1 record. NDSU was picked to win the Summit League. It is coming off a 78-65 loss at Saint Mary's last Thursday. Preseason First Team All-Summit League senior forward Marshall Bjorklund led all players with 23 points. Senior guard Taylor Braun, who voted the Summit League's Preseason Player of the Year, leads the Bison with 15.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds. Bjorklund is averaging 14.5 points and is connecting on 72.2-percent from the floor. Senior Mike Felt is scoring 13.5 points, freshman forward Dexter Warner is scoring 12.0 points and Preseason First Team All-Summit League player Lawrence Alexander is adding 11.0 points.

North Dakota State head coach Saul Phillips is in his seventh season at the helm of the NDSU men's basketball program. He has compiled a 109-78 (.583) record overall as a head coach.
