HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics announced on Wednesday that less than 2,000 tickets are still available for the "Fill To The Top" campaign, which was designed to sell out the men's basketball home opener on Nov. 10 against Sun Belt Champion Western Kentucky.
The campaign began on Oct. 15 as athletic department staff and community leaders met and five teams were selected to go out throughout Hattiesburg selling tickets to groups, organizations and businesses to help fill Reed Green Coliseum. Each team includes a team leader, an athletics department contact, and community leaders.
Each team has been given the task to sell 600 tickets. Also, for each ticket sold, fans will receive a ticket that can be used for any game during women's basketball's Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic, Nov. 23-24.
"From my first day on the job, I have talked repeatedly about packing Reed Green Coliseum for our home opener," said Southern Miss head coach Donnie Tyndall. "I believe that the people of Hattiesburg, the campus community and our students are going to help us achieve our goal of selling out the Green House."
The Southern Miss Athletic Ticket Office will also offer tickets to any fan wishing to purchase tickets for the Western Kentucky contest. For this game only, bleacher seating will be designated as General Admission. Tickets are $5 for general admission, $10 for chairbacks and $20 for floor seats. There is no limit on the number of tickets.
Fans can purchase their tickets either online via SouthernMiss.com, by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Center from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Game time is set for 7:30 p.m., CT.
