Men's Basketball Finalizes 2008-09 Television Dates

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss has released its 2008-09 television schedule, as released by Conference USA. In all, the Golden Eagles will be televised ten times throughout the year, with the possibility of more games being picked up at a later date.

The Golden Eagles will be televised nationally three times this year, all on CBS College Sports, starting with their home Valentine's Day match-up with national runner-up Memphis at 4 p.m. Southern Miss' road game at UAB at week later (Feb. 21) at 1:00 p.m. Their last CBS C showing will be their final regular season game, March 7 at home against UTEP (7:00 p.m.).

CSS will carry five Golden Eagle games, beginning with their neutral site meeting with in-state rival Ole Miss at Biloxi, Miss. (7:00 p.m.) on Dec. 30. It's Jan. 27 home game against Marshall will be televised at 8:00 p.m. CSS will show three Southern Miss games in February, starting with home games against UAB (Feb. 7, 5:00 p.m.) and Tulane (Feb. 24, 7:00 p.m.) followed by a road game at Memphis on Feb. 28 (Noon).

The Golden Eagles also make appearances on the Mountain Network against New Mexico (Dec. 6, 5:00 p.m.), as well as Fox Sports Net against Kansas State (Dec. 11, 7:00 p.m.) in Kansas City, Mo.

Southern Miss opens the season Nov. 15 against Loyola (N.O.) at 7:00 p.m.
