Basketball Opens Exhibition Tour Saturday With Victory Over Bahamas Giants

NASSAU, Bahamas -- - Four Southern Miss players scored in double figures as the Golden Eagles opened their three-game exhibition tour here Saturday afternoon with a 68-55 victory over the Bahamas Giants.

Sophomore Courtney Beasley (Huntsville, Ala.) paced the Eagles with 17 points, while freshman Jeremy Wise (Jackson, Miss.) added 15 points. Freshman Jarvis Hill (Starkville, Miss.) chipped in 14, while junior transfer Demar Dotson (Alexandria, La.) tallied 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Junior transfer Gjio Bain (Nassau, Bahamas) also collected nine points and 15 rebounds in his return to his home city.

The Eagles complete the tour Sunday with a pair of games. They take on the Bahamas Explorers at 9 a.m. CT and the Bahamas Rockets at 3 p.m. CT.
