HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss men's basketball player Dwayne Davis signed a one-year contract with Murcia of the Spanish ACB.
Davis earned First Team All-Conference USA last year, leading the Golden Eagles with 16.0 points, good for seventh in the league. He was also seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.413), 11th in free throw percentage, connecting on 78.7-percent and 14th in field goal percentage (.489).
"I am very proud of Dwayne," said Southern Miss head coach Donnie Tyndall. "He's able to continue his basketball career. He had an outstanding senior season for us last year and graduated from our school. I am very proud of all that he has accomplished in the last 12 months."
The Philadelphia, Pa., native scored in double-figures in 27 games and has led the team in scoring 12 times. He also pulled down 4.5 rebounds per game. He was also named to the All-Tournament Team of the Portsmouth Invitational.
