"We are pleased to have Greg join our staff," said Southern Miss basketball coach Larry Eustachy. "He is one of the top up and coming coaches, and is ahead of his time. He will add a new dimension to what I feel is already a great coaching staff."
Heiar comes to Southern Miss after spending the last six years at Chipola (Fla.) Junior College, the last five as the head coach. While at Chipola, Heiar led the Indians to a 164-15 record.
