Southern Miss Announces Television Games; One Contest Switches Dates

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss announced Monday that CBS College Sports will televise three games during the 2010 football season, including a date change for its final regular-season contest.

The CBS C television dates are in addition to the two ESPN telecasts the Golden Eagles will already be featured in during the year. Southern Miss helps open the college football season with a 6:30 p.m., CT contest at South Carolina on Thur., Sept. 2, and will play host to Kansas, Friday, Sept. 17. The KU game will begin at 7 p.m. CT from Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium.

The first CBS C telecast will take place during the Golden Eagles' Conference USA opener, Oct. 2, at home against Marshall with the game time set for 7 p.m. CT. The network will then show Southern Miss' Nov. 13 contest at UCF and features an 11 a.m., CT start time.

The Golden Eagles regular-season finale at Tulsa will move up a day to accommodate CBS C from Sat., Nov. 27, to Fri., Nov. 26. The game against the Golden Hurricane is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Additional television dates for Southern Miss football may be added at a later date.

In a game time announcement, Louisiana Tech has released that the Sept 25 contest with the Golden Eagles will start at 6 p.m.
