Men's Hoops Signee Rashad Perkins Named Mississippi's Mr. Basketball
Perkins becomes second Golden Eagles signee to be named Mr. Basketball in the last four years.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's basketball signee Rashad Perkins was named Mississippi's Mr. Basketball, last Sunday, by the Clarion-Ledger.
Perkins becomes the second Southern Miss signee in the last four years to earn the honor. Current Golden Eagle R.L. Horton was named Mr. Basketball in 2007.
With the honor, Perkins joins Southern Miss signee Trency Jackson of Wingfield High School on the All-State Team.
This past season, Perkins averaged 23 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks. His performance helped lead Starkville High School to the Mississippi Class 6A Championship and the MHSAA Grand Slam Tournament.
