HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Dwayne Davis continues to pick up accolades for his play this year as he was named Second Team National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 11, Tuesday morning.
Davis leads the Golden Eagles this year with 16.3 points, which is sixth in Conference USA. He is also sixth in three-point field goal percentage (.428) and ninth in free throw percentage (.794).
The Philadelphia, Pa., native has scored in double-figures in 27 games and has led the team in scoring 12 times. His 59 three-pointers made are currently 12th on the school's single season list and his three-point field goal percentage is the sixth highest ever in a season.
Davis has also been named First Team All-Conference USA, as well as the C-USA Newcomer of the Year.
The first team is comprised by Memphis' Joe Jackson, Tulane's Josh Davis, Keith Clanton and Isaiah Sykes of UCF and Houston's TaShawn Thomas.
Davis is joined on the second team by East Carolina's Maurice Kemp, Memphis' Geron Johnson and Adonis Thomas and Ricky Tarrant of Tulane.
