Southern Miss-Saint Louis Opening Round Game To Be Televised By ESPN Plus
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss-Saint Louis opening round game of the 2004 Conference USA Basketball Tournament will be televised live, Wednesday, as part of the ESPN Plus network, carried locally by Comcast Sports Southeast in the Pine Belt viewing area.
The game featuring No. 7 seed Saint Louis (16-11, 9-7) and No. 10 seed Southern Miss (13-14, 6-10), is slated for a 8:30 p.m., CT, tip off. The broadcast is scheduled to appear on CSS channel 25 and other ESPN Plus affiliates.

The two teams are meeting for the fourth time in an opening round C-USA Tournament game. The Billikens took a one-point decision over the Golden Eagles on Jan. 13 in St. Louis. The winner of the SLU-USM game will battle No. 2 seed Memphis, at 8:30 p.m., CT, in Thursday’s final quarterfinal. The Tigers enter the tourney having won at least 21 games for the fourth consecutive season.
Two opening round games will air on ESPN 2 and the first semifinal on Friday will air on ESPN. All other games on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be shown on ESPN Plus. Please check your local listings. Saturday’s 11:41 a.m. final will be aired nationally on CBS.
