HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics announced that tickets are going quickly for its men's basketball meeting with No.2 Memphis, Saturday, at Reed Green Coliseum.
"We are expecting a sellout crowd this Saturday when we meet Memphis, so we encourage our fans to not wait until the last minute to try and get a seat," Southern Miss Deputy Director of Athletics Scott Carr said. "We also have some exciting events going on around the game and it should be a great atmosphere in the Greenhouse Saturday."
At halftime of the contest, rising junior Damion Fletcher will be presented with his Cellular South Conerly Trophy, an award given to the top football player in the state of Mississippi. First-year football coach, Larry Fedora, also is expected to attend and speak to the crowd during intermission.
Carr also encouraged fans to wear black as Saturday is designated as this season's basketball Black Out game.
There will also be a giveaway for a plane voucher for two from Gulfport to one of three cities in Florida, either from Tampa, Orlando or Ft. Lauderdale, to one lucky fan.
For tickets please call the Southern Miss Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or go online at www.southernmiss.com.
