Southern Miss vs. UAB Preview | USM vs. UAB Commerical
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics announced the vendors for "A Taste of the Burg" in conjunction with the free Emerson Drive concert at Pride Field, Saturday, Jan. 19, on the Southern Miss campus beginning at 3 p.m.
The vendors include (in alphabetical order): Bop's Frozen Custard, Buffalo Wild Wings, Caliente Grill, Coca-Cola, Einstein's (located on campus), Frito-Lay, Hooters and Krispy Kreme. Fans are encouraged to come early as this is a first-come, first-serve event to make sure you get "A Taste of the Burg" while supplies last.
Aramark, the concessions vendor for Southern Miss, will also be set up to make food available for purchase. Items for sale will include hot dogs for $3, cookies which will be 2 for $1, and chips at $1. A combo meal with all three items will be available $4.
A pep rally opens up the festivities at 2:30 p.m., with men's basketball coach Donnie Tyndall, the Southern Misses, The Southern Miss Pep Band, Seymour, and the USM Cheerleaders in attendance.
Please note that there will be no tents allowed at Pride Field and alcohol will not be permitted. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the concert.
The Golden Eagles take on UAB at 5 p.m., at Reed Green Coliseum as the squad looks to go 4-0 in Conference USA play.
