Southern Miss Snaps Skid with 69-44 Victory over Crosstown Rival William Carey

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Jeremy Wise scored a game-high 17 points and Southern Miss defeated William Carey, 69-44, on Monday night.

The Golden Eagles (5-4) had four players in double figures, as Courtney Beasley and Craig Craft scored 12 apiece and Andre Stephens added 11.

Southern Miss outrebounded the Crusaders 34-24 with Sai'Quon Stone, Stephens, Craft and Beasley notching six apiece.

Marcus Spann and Dexter Middleton led William Carey with 16 and 13 points, respectively.

The Crusaders were held to just 34.6 percent shooting from the field (18 of 52), including 5-for-13 from behind the 3-point arc.
