HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Chip Armelin scored 16 points as Southern Miss had six players in double figures, scored 61 first-half points and routed William Carey 99-54 on Saturday and remained undefeated.

Neil Watson made 4 of 5 from beyond the 3-point arc and scored 14 points for the Golden Eagles (6-0). Matt Bingaya also had 14 points, Michael Craig had 12, Daveon Boardingham had 11 and Aaron Brown had 10 for Southern Miss.

The Golden Eagles shot 63.1 percent from the field and were 8 of 17 on 3-pointers.

William Carey had 29 turnovers, 16 more than the Golden Eagles committed.

Southern Miss started 6-0 last season, as well, before dropping three in a row.
