HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Season tickets for the 2013 Southern Miss home baseball season are now on sale and include 32 home games at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
The Golden Eagles will play 16 different schools on its 2013 home slate, including six that reached the NCAA Tournament a season ago for a total 12 home games. The season begins at home with a three-game home series, Feb. 15-17, against Southeastern Conference newcomer Missouri. The following weekend, the Golden Eagles hold the Southern Miss Invitational, which will consist of East Illinois, 2012 NCAA participant Missouri State and in-state foe Alcorn State, Feb. 22-24.
During the year, the Golden Eagles holds three-game series non-conference series against Louisiana-Lafayette (Mar. 8-10), Central Arkansas (Mar. 15-17), and SIU-Edwardsville (May 10-12), NCAA and C-USA foes Rice (Mar. 22-24) and UAB (Apr. 27-29), as well as league foes Tulane (Apr. 5-7) and Marshall (Apr. 12-14). The home slate also includes single games against South Alabama (Mar. 26), New Orleans (Apr. 10), Alabama (Apr. 24), Louisiana-Monroe (Apr. 30) and finish up the home schedule with Ole Miss (May 14).
Prices for Golden Eagle season tickets include $240 for chairbacks, which are based on availability, $180 for adult general admission and $70 for youth general admission. The priority deadline is Jan. 11.
Tickets can be purchased online via SouthernMissTickets.com, by phone at 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or in person at the Pat Ferlise Ticket Center weekdays from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m.
The Golden Eagles finished 32-24 in 2012 and were 16th in the country in average home attendance at 3,424 fans a game, while their cumulative attendance of 92,455 ranked No. 25 nationally.
