Baseball Showcase Camp Pushed Back to Sunday Due to Expected Bad Weather

July 18, 2014

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball Showcase Camp set for Saturday at Pete Taylor Park has been pushed back a day to Sunday, July 20, because of expected inclement weather in the Hattiesburg area.

The camp registration begins at 11 a.m., on Sunday. The camp starts at 12 noon and end when all camp participants have completed the session. The itinerary will include instruction specific to their defensive position, improving 60-yard dash times, and hitting. Pitchers will be allowed to participate at both positions. Cost is $155 and includes insurance, instruction and a camp T-shirt.

The Summer Showcase Camp is designed to allow current high school freshman through junior college sophomore (JUCO freshmen must be an academic qualifier) baseball players the chance to showcase their abilities and receive instruction from current Southern Miss coaches, various junior college coaches and other four-year institutions.
