Baseball Golden Eagles in Summer Collegiate Leagues
Seven Southern Miss players are playing in three different leagues this summer.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Eight different Southern Miss baseball players will play in three different collegiate summer leagues this summer including the Texas Collegiate League, the Northwoods League and the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Four current Golden Eagles, outfielder Connor Barron, along with right-handed pitchers Nick Johnson, Cooper Jones and Jake Winston, are playing this summer for the Acadiana Cane Cutters in Youngsville, La., in the Texas Collegiate League.
Right-handed pitchers Cord Cockrell and James McMahon, as well as left-handed hurler Luke Lowery are showing their talents in the Northwoods League. Cockrell and McMahon are both members of the Mankato Moondogs in Mankato, Minn., while Lowery is back with the Lakeshore Chinooks in Mequon, Wis., for a second consecutive summer.
Infielder Michael Gilbert will play his summer baseball for the Valley Blue Sox in Holyoke, Mass., in the NECBL.
