Baseball Series with Middle Tennessee Adjusted due to Expected Bad Weather
The two teams will now play an 11 a.m., doubleheader to complete the C-USA series.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss athletic officials announced Friday afternoon an adjustment to the schedule for the final two games of its three-game Conference USA baseball series with Middle Tennessee this weekend at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
The two teams are now set to play a doubleheader, Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m., in an effort to complete the series prior to the bad weather planned to hit the area that day and expected to continue through Sunday. The two teams were originally set to play in a 2 p.m., single contest.
Sunday's scheduled contest will now take place 40 minutes following the conclusion of Saturday's first game. Because of the change to the final game of the series, there will be no television broadcast for the series finale. That game had been slated to air on Fox Sports 1.
Fans with tickets for either the Saturday or Sunday contest will be admitted to the doubleheader.
